Oh Hey {10 things about my week}

What a great outdoor Fall setup!
{via}

1.  I've gotten really bad at this blogging thing, but for some reason, when the fall comes rolling around, I feel a little more alive.  So, hopefully I will be posting more!

2.  I have the worst study habits and I don't know what to do to get me back in the swing of school.  It seems like lately, there is always something better to do or something more important that I need to take care of.   I really need to get my priorities straight.

3.  I have fallen head over heals in love with my new little boxer!  This is good because I was worried that I could never be close to another dog after losing Allie.  Especially one of the same breed.  The downside, I am starting to forget little things that make Allie and Bella different and can only think of the things that Bella does.  This makes me sad.

4.  I spend entirely too much money grocery shopping!  I think I need to start making a list and sticking with it.

5.  Getting yelled at in a quiet library will take all the effort that I have to not punch you in the face.  I'm sorry that you think you were here before me, but you weren't.  Sorry that I'm not sorry. Errrrr!

6.  Getting a C- on a paper will probably make me cry the entire drive home.

7. Getting back into running has made me feel better than ever!  Even if it is just a quick 15 minute run before bed.

8.  I love my line of work and I love moving around and seeing how different people handle different situations.  It gives me such a broad perspective on dealing with difficult problem.

9.  I have been so inspired by peoples optimism and patience lately!  I think it's rubbing off.

10.  I love that sticking it out through the hard times allows for trust to be gained and relationships to become closer.

10 Things About My Week.

[via]

1. Human interaction is the best medicine.
2.  Come find me when I am out walking Bailey Bailey is walking me.  It's pretty entertaining.
3. If I didn't work, I would probably sleep till 10 every day.
4. I'm really not impressed with television these days.  Boooring.
5. I can't wait to see who plays Christian Grey when they turn 50 Shades of Grey into a movie! oh, la, la
6. Sometimes a little coffee date with my pops is just what we need.
7. Don't ever fall in love with your dream house until you know all the details because it probably needs $30,000 worth of termite damages taken care of.  Next!
8. I really miss all my friends that have moved away and I just wish we could all live closer.
9.  Family really is everything.
10.  The cleaning really never stops... and I'm getting to the point where not one ounce of me wants anything to do with it.  gaaaaa!

Hope everybody had a fabulous week and weekend
:)

10 things about my week

{I've had some lucky school days this week!  Two days in a row I went to pay for a parking ticket to only find that someone had stuffed their $6 ticket back into the slot and (twice!) I was the lucky girl to find it!  Pretty exciting if you ask me!}

1. I am ridiculously overworked this week.  In fact, today I have had a strange day where I first, wasn't able to see out of my right eye while driving.  I actually had to pull over because I was worried I would hit someone.  Then, I had a strange spell of not being able to talk.  I received a phone call at work and my speech was so twisted that it didn't make any sense.  After that I was pretty freaked out and sent Reynolds a text message that went like this...
"babe, i don't know what calling on with me.  i just answered a phone call and couldn't even even talk.  i was super tongue tied and i have to get repeating everything.  they i couldn't even page david because every time i put them on hold i couldn't remember his name. i'm freaking out a little."
Yep, that was an actual text message sent from, yours truly.  Make sense much?
Weird, right?  Actually kind of scary.  I sent a couple more like that too.  I think I am tried, stressed, and suffering from a sinus infection.  Hopefully it's nothing more than that.
2.Today is Almond Blossom and right now I'm missing the parade because I'm working.  I'm totally bummed but hope that my sister's, nieces, John, Jay, and Bailey are all having a blast!
3. Being chased by a bee in front of a bunch of construction workers is awesome! You're welcome.
4. Ditching my second class on Thursday felt good.  I was able to drive home when the sun was going down and the city views were amazing!
5. I'm really loving work right now.  I miss working with kids that are  lower on the spectrum, but the kids I have now are so cute and so much fun!
6. Hello nice weather!  I'm absolutely loving you.  Please, please, please don't go away.
7.  I received some really horrible news this week!  My Allie girl (my dog) has cancer.  It's devastating and heart wrenching.  It's now time to make the best of our time together!  She has been my BEST friend for the past 11 years and I can't imagine losing her.  I am also praying for a quick and easy surgery and recovery for my uncle who just found out he has two brain tumors.  It's been a hard week.
8.  Two weeks from today I will be in the middle of the desert watching crazy people drive as fast as they can!  I will also be laying on the beach, eating tacos, and drinking corona!  Mexico, here I come!

9. I am sooo hooked on The Bachelor!  I can't wait to see who Ben chooses!  Also, Parenthood and One Tree Hill, Oh My!  Ugh, wish there was no such thing as a season finale!  I'm pretty sure I will be balling my eyes out!
10. I'm so thankful.  That's all

Hope you are all enjoying your Almond (or as I would say it, amond) Blossoming weekend!

10 Things about my week

1. Really unfair things happen to people.  I don't know why, but they do, and it's hard to watch.  Also, hold your family and friends close because life changes in a split second.

2. Sometimes, when I'm too happy or life is going oddly well, I feel guilty.  Then, I most likely get sad.

3.  Realizing that my dog wont be around much longer will cause me to stand in the closet alone and cry... on Valentine's Day... and then cry and cry and cry about everything else that makes me sad.  I told you I get sad when things in life are going so well!  Yikes.

4. Sitting in the quad at school, when all the sorority and fraternities are meeting and talking, makes me glad I never joined one.

5. Yogurt and granola is possibly my favorite food in the world.  Also, I make damn good smoothies.  Boom!  My two favorite things.

6. I, absolutely, do not like automatic flushing toilets.  "Hello?  I'm not done!  How dare you flush,"  So gross!

7. As much as I LOVE my Kindle... I am such a fan of books and always will be.

8. I want to write.  Write about people, write about events, write about life, write about everything.  And, I don't appreciate when my teacher calls my writing, "passive."  What in the world does that mean!?  And why am I not going to school for creative writing?  Why on earth do we have so many options and why can't I just choose one and be happy?

9. I have this thing about me that I really don't like but I'm working hard to change.  Noooooo, I'm not going to tell you what it is!  But, I'm learning to be independent without shutting people out.  I'm learning to love without expecting anything in return.  I'm learning to accept people the way they are and not try to change them.  It's hard work but my life is definitely benefiting from it.  Although, I still need to work hard on that darn "thing!"

10. I'm happiest when I'm busy.  Isn't that ironic?

A little update:  I pretty much failed at starting running this week.  I should have known.  But, I recently nailed a permanent position at my place of work and I'm super excited to be in a new classroom starting next week!  Also, I may have a foot in the door at UOP where I hope to get my masters!

I started a new book (because God knows I don't have enough reading already), and I can't wait to share it with you!  And, I've been thinking a lot about the fact that I really feel the need to connect with other girls and, I know there are church groups and such, but is there anything else out there for young women to get together and chat?  Would anyone be interested in this type of thing?

Anyway, I guess that's it for now.  It's been a crazy and scary week and, although I would love to say that it is almost over, my weeks don't really tend to end when you work straight through them.

Happy Almost Friday, Friends!

10 things about my week.

{Last night we attended our annual crab feed.  Like every year, we had a ton of fun and danced our booties off.  I apologize for all the blurriness lately.  I should really start carrying around my camera, it's just so much easier to have my phone, ya know?}

 Ten things about my week.

1. I made it through my first week of school, exciting stuff, right?  Right!

2. I am on the road super late two nights a week.  Incredibly tired + driving = super scary.  Stay away from my car on Tuesday and Thursday.

3. I started a new job on the weekends.  Well, kind of new and sort of the same.  It's pretty chillax.
4. I have completely fallen behind on anything and everything that has to do with my home life this week.  You should see the amount of laundry that is calling my name.  Really, you should come over and see it...and then do it for me.  Purdy Please?

5. Looks like I'm back to blogging.  It's a great feeling.  I hope you enjoy it also :)

6. I think I am going to try something out this week.  It's something that I have only done once and am hoping that will be a natural talent.  I doubt it, but there is nothing wrong with hope people!

7. P90X is hard.  Holly Molly.

8. Sometimes a good, long, tears rolling, snot dripping, cry and talk is a good thing.  Things should never be held in.  Don't let me do this again, okay?

9. When you leave late for class and then get mad at yourself while sitting in the car thinking about the fact that you left late and are now too late to walk in to the room, don't let it ruin your day.  Because, if you do, you will probably realize that you forgot your student I.D and not be allowed to, first, purchase your books because, even though you gave them your name and student I.D, which then pops up in the system, which you then match your drivers license with, they still will probably not let you write a check.  But, if you beg and give them a guilt trip, they might. Second, you will also need your I.D to get into the computer lab to spend that hour in between classes because you didn't bring your own computer in result of running late.  When she tells you that you can't come in without it, don't think about the fact that you were running late and missed your first class and then caused a huge scene in the book store because you will, at this point, probably start to cry and the girl will look at you like, "look lady, it's really not that big of a deal! you should really just bring your i.d next time if you want to use a computer.  it's just a computer."  After all of this, just go straight to your class and sit down outside the door because, if you don't, you will probably think to yourself, "damn this day, I'm getting in my car and going home.  who needs stupid school anyways? school, shmull!" and on the 10 minute walk to your car you will probably trip, twist your, already in pain from P90X knee, and get your new Toms super dirty.  Oh and don't look up because the group of people standing outside, putting on a light show with gloves that glow, will probably all stop what they are doing and laugh.  At this point, just be okay with the fact that the universe is against you today, put away your negative attitude, wipe your tears off your dang face and stop, turn around, and go to class because you will be happy you did.  It's a cool class and you could have ruined your chances of getting in and sitting next to a cool group of girls.  Also, you would have missed that drunk girl that came to sit next to you to ask if you were there for a completely different class that she was.  Apparently, she had a little too much fun before class.  Oops.

10. I'm obviously a drama queen.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

10 things I need to vent about... plus, a lot of late posts soon to come!

Ignore the Christmas tree, this was quite a long time ago.  But have you ever played this game?  If not, you should!

I am really falling behind here.

And just so you know, I am really missing it.

So much has happened that I haven't been able to post about so your probably going to see those things in the very near future and we'll just pretend that I'm not a slacker and that it happened the day I post it, mmmmmkay?

But here are 10 things that drive me crazy or that are frustrating me at the moment.

1.  I have a huge paper due by Friday morning and I haven't started.  SlackeR!

2.  How do so many students at my school drive BMW's, Mercedes, Porches, Volvo's, etc.?  I just don't get it!

3.  Seriously, I am beyond tired of driving to the city 3 days a week.  Can school just be over already?

4.  I have a job interview for Friday but I will be at school and they can't reschedule for another month.  uGh.  ReallY?

5.  Why do people get punished for getting an education?  It's too damn expensive, it's incredibly hard to work, and by the time I graduate there probably wont be any jobs and I wont be able to pay back loans!

6.  When you have a dream or an idea for something, why is it so hard to obtain?

7.  I haven't bitten my nails since high school, but today, it looks like I'm back at it.

8.  It's crazy how, when it comes to business and money, you can so easily feel like you got slapped in the face!

9. I seem to have forgotten how to use my car when it comes to down shifting.  I am pretty sure in the last month I have completely worn out my breaks.

10.  I wish I wasn't such an instant gratification kind of person.  It drives me crazy!

I'm such a complainer, I know.
